SiVance Trifluoropropyltrichlorosilane (CAS No. 592-09-6) is a fluoroalkyl silane.

Trifluoropropyltrichlorosilane is used to produce surfaces that are strongly both water and organic solvent repellent. The trifluoropropyl group has a steric requirement similar to the propyl group but has a vastly different electronic effect on silicon. Fluorine atoms have a very strong electron withdrawing effect.
