Ethoxy Silanes Octyltriethoxysilane

SiVance Octyltriethoxysilane (CAS No. 2943-75-1) is an alkyl silane.

Octyltriethoxysilane is used as a hydrophobing agent for treating inorganic particles and surfaces. Such treated materials then have good compatibility with most organic polymers.

Octyltriethoxysilane can also be used in surface treatment of minerals and organic surfaces and to create water-repellent surfaces.
