Siloxanes Diethoxypolydimethylsiloxane

SiVance Diethoxypolydimethylsiloxane (CAS No. 70851-25-1) is a polydimethylsiloxane with terminal ethoxy groups.

Diethoxypolydimethylsiloxane is a chemically reactive polysiloxane which can hydrolyse producing terminal silanol groups which in turn can bind to various organic polymers, such as acrylates, urethanes, and epoxies to form water repellant coatings. Diethoxypolydimethylsiloxane has also been used as a component in coatings which are anti-fouling.
