Siloxanes 3-(Glycidoxypropyl)heptamethyltrisiloxane

SiVance 3-(Glycidoxypropyl)- heptamethyltrisiloxane (CAS No. 7422-52-8) is an epoxy functional copolymer of heptamethytrisiloxane.

3-(Glycidoxypropyl)heptamethyltrisiloxane is typically used as a reactive intermediate in the manufacture of 1K and 2K epoxy resin systems. The addition of silicone allows for tailoring the surface properties of the resulting coating. Addition may increase impact strength, slip and mar properties, and chemical resistance.

3-(Glycidoxypropyl)heptamethyltrisiloxane can also be used as an intermediate in the manufacture of monomers and other specialty chemical compounds.
