Tell us about your role at Milliken?
"I cover a few different roles including increasing the growth of our clarifier product line and developing our go-to-market strategy for new technologies in our business. I also help on both the sales and marketing side by ensuring we deliver the latest in packaging trends to our customers."
What do you like most about your job, what excites you?
"I really like being able to help shape strategy across multiple business lines which lets me work with our global team. I’m also excited to learn more about the strategic thinking that goes into our business decisions and look forward to traveling globally where I can learn more about our different regional teams, and different cultures, around the globe."
What is your favorite Milliken memory?
"I have lots of great memories of traveling to wonderful cities and interacting with customers at various venues. However, one of my best memories is our recent trip to the National Geographic facility to participate in a discussion on sustainability. I am proud that Milliken is not sitting idly by, but instead has taken a leadership position in spearheading the discussion on sustainability. Not only will we stay ahead of the curve for our business’ sake, but also ensure we are doing the right thing for the world."
What’s special about Milliken? What do you like about the company?
"I really value the opportunity to learn about the myriad of markets that we operate in and the chance to serve in different roles within those business units. I also appreciate the vocal lead we have taken on many social and environmental issues and how we are driving employee engagement on those efforts."
What’s one piece of advice you have for someone looking for a job or internship at Milliken?
"Keep an open mind about areas to explore in the business and seek out opportunities to grow and stretch yourself. I never really thought I’d enjoy sales, but after moving from manufacturing I found that role to be extremely fulfilling because I was delivering direct top-line growth, helping to put the business strategies into motion. I have been able to experience a wide arrange of daily activities with the opportunity to learn more about general business and economic dynamics through my interactions with internal and external customers."
