Milliken’s Chemical Division helps to create and enhance the things that people use, enjoy and come into contact within their daily lives. From our scientists and technical staff to our customer service teams based all around the world, we measure our success through the R&D breakthroughs that we are so proud of and also in how we help people. Ravindra Utekar has been with Milliken for five years, based in the Pune office in India, looking after customers across South Asia.

What is your role and in which department do you work?
"I work in the Customer Supply Chain Department as Senior Customer Service Associate and my primary role is to ensure that our customers in India and South Asia are effectively supported in all pre- and post- sales activities. This means ensuring that myself and my colleagues have a good relationship with the Customer Team, Global Supply Chain & Logistics Team and the Asia Milliken Sales Team. This ensures effective communication for end customer satisfaction and provides visibility to all stakeholders to drive outstanding performance."

Are there specific projects that you work on and do you have a favorite part of the job?
"In addition to my primary role, I’m engaged in the planning and execution of Tolled products for KeyPlast, Performance Colorants and Ingredients, Plastics Additives, and Fine Chemicals. I am also managing warehousing and logistics for upcoming projects. I also really enjoy working on SAP (Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing) for ensuring the fulfilment of Customer Service and logistics work."

What’s your favorite Milliken memory?
"One of my best memories at Milliken is no doubt about people. My colleagues throughout the entire Milliken Supply Chain are a pleasure to work with and it’s really nice to be recognised and appreciated by both the Customer and Milliken Leadership teams."

What’s special about Milliken? What do you like about the company?
"I really enjoy the variety of opportunities provided by Milliken. The entire Milliken team is great to work with and very supportive. As well, we have really good products in the market, so my team are happy to sell these and have a lot of pride in what we do."

What’s one piece of advice you have for someone looking for a job or internship at Milliken?
"I would tell anyone wanting to join Milliken to never stop learning, constantly update their skills, network within the company, participate in as many events as possible organized by the company and try to get to know the team that you are hoping to join. Never say no to a challenge and do your best to succeed!"
