Alex Fernandes Dias Israel connects the commercial, sales and supply business units at Milliken in São Paulo, helping to oversee inbound and outbound activities, ensuring a seamless operation.
Tell us a bit about your role at Milliken. What projects are you working on?
"I have been at Milliken for a year and a half in the Customer Service/Foreign Trade department as a Foreign Trade Analyst. This means that I input orders into the system, I’m responsible for consolidating business information and liaising with customers outside of Brazil, the management of inbound and outbound end-to-end operations, including supplies, inventories, logistics and the management of transport suppliers."
How do you help Milliken Chemical customers?
"I oversee shipments from start to finish as the commercial interface with the plant and stocks ensuring that production logistics and the scheduling of daily product shipments run to plan. I am responsible for LATAM customers and I like to help them through the whole process, ensuring that products arrive with them in the best and fastest way. Every day we face different challenges and we always do our best."
What is your favorite part of the job?
"I think the best part of my job is the feeling of team that we have in our department. We’re all engaged in the pursuit of the goal, always doing our best. In addition to this I love that I am able to feel continually challenged and learn something every day!"
What’s is your fondest Milliken Chemical memory?
"It’s difficult to answer this because I feel that every day is special in it’s own way but the feeling of family is very strong in my team and this is a very inspiring thing that we have."
What’s one piece of advice you have for someone looking for a job or internship at Milliken?
"Be yourself and always do your best."
